Earlier this week, the federal governments National Science Foundation, an entity created to encourage the study of science encouragement that it achieves by awarding grants to scholars and universities announced that it had awarded a grant to study what people say about themselves and others in social media. The NSF dubbed the project Truthy, a reference to comedian Stephen Colberts invention and hilarious use of the word truthiness.
The reference to Colbert is cute, and he is a very funny guy, but when the feds get into the business of monitoring speech, it is surely no joke; it is a nightmare. It is part of the Obama administrations persistent efforts to monitor communication and scrutinize the expressions of opinions it hates and fears.

Yeah, there are some of them here.
You can say that again. And it is becoming increasingly obvious who they are.
The Nazi youth. Doing their FÜHRER’s dirty work and spreading the lies.
Those'd be the guys screaming
you have to vote Republican, no matter what! even in the cases where the candidate is a statist, right?
Full disclosure, the NSF funded part of my graduate education. But Reagan was president back then. More truth, less truthy
No. Der fuhrer has sent out his instructions to his mindless Obamabots.
Obama’s Social Media Zampolit.
It’s John Adams all over again.
A fusion of the Young Pioneers and Zampolit, eh?
On Tuesday, Fox News obtained documents showing that the federal government is initiating a program designed to nudge Americans toward particular behaviors.
The Behavioral Insights Team to be formed would work with the White House, as well as the Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Agriculture, among others.
The document, emailed by White House senior adviser on social and behavioral sciences Maya Shenker to a university professor, states, Behavioral sciences can be used to help design public policies that work better, cost less, and help people achieve their goals.

Lest we forget:
“In August 2009, the White House set up the email address ‘email@example.com’ to gather information during the debate over Obamacare. According to an official press release, people were actually supposed to send a note to the White House ‘if you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy.’
Most paranoid administration ever. Years of drug use will do that.
If that’s Maya, not guilty.
On a different note, this is what the idiocracy elected twice. We’re outnumbered folks.
PROOF: alcee hastings got elected as my “rep”. This republic is on life support.
They can’t get into the private and secret groups.
