Remember Dayna Morales, the restaurant server who destroyed our faith in Facebooks infallibility? Well, things arent looking good for the former Marine (more about that in a bit) who accused a family of going all homophobe and cheapskate, but mostly homophobe, on their restaurant bill.
Ms. Morales is currently not on our employee schedule while we are still working to complete our investigation, the Gallop Asian Bistro restaurant posted on its Facebook page.
The 23-year-old former U.S. Marine came under attack after the family she accused of leaving the message produced a copy of the receipt and a credit card statement showing they were charged $111.55, which included an $18.00 tip on their $93.55 tab. The couple denied leaving any message on the receipt.
She didnt come under attack. She came under suspicion, because these stories nearly always follow the predictable pattern of the victim turning out to be the perpetrator. And they wouldve gotten away with it, if not for meddling bloggers!

FOR ABSOLUTELY NO GOOD REASON.
Reminds me of Sandra Fluke...same mold...looking for attention...(White trash with a twist)
I posted the same update yesterday that came from Yahoo.
The family should sue tawanna for defamation.
Now she’ll probably sue the restaurant owner for being mean, or something. Sounds like a perpetual victim to me.
“Former Marine” is a bit of a stretch - she was kicked out of the Marine Corps Reserve for failing to attend drills.
She’d sue the carp out of the restaurant if they did that. They are conducting “an investigation,” an the end of which she will have been found to have brought disrepute upon the restaurant and she’ll be shown the door. With cause.
Other restaurants would be wise to announce, or reinforce if they already have one, a policy forbidding all use of cameras on their premises, even when off-duty. I’d have done that yesterday. Then, the next waitperson who decides to get cute with the receipts and my customers’ privacy goes out in the street on the spot, no “suspension.” “Fired for Cause,” so no unemployment checks either.
Didn’t Obama make Sandra Fluke an ambassador or something? Maybe he can make this ex-marine a 4-star general.
I'm picturing people galloping to the bathroom.
Someone on another message board pointed out that the restaurant might have trouble with the credit card company for failure to maintain document security.
Homophobe is the most dishonest word out there today. It’s disgusting!
They should have trouble. That’s an unlawful reproduction of a legal financial transaction document, IOW a contract. In another similar incident, the little waitress gal didn’t even bother redacting the customer’s signature, and was he pissed. There may still be a lawsuit in that one, I think it was Florida.
Straight people need to quit picking on Dayna. She can’t help it that she’s a pathological liar like our president. She has a “condition”.../s
The ones that surface in the media are the ones that usually turn out to be propaganda. The lesbitarians seem to be the ones that get the coverage.
The manager has to be in on this scam as well as in that business no body goes home until the cash register balances and $18 dollars is a big discrepancy. He had to know from the start that this was a lie and now is trying to somewhat cover his butt by doing this. They should both be sued by that family.
I recall that this freak’s manager was behind her 100%, so I am wondering if they are just stalling until the dust settles and no one is looking while they reinstate her.
Respectfully, I audited cash registers for a national food + bev company in the 90’s, and $20 was the magic number. Even at that threshold, it was reviewed the next day; it is bad for morale to keep people over (especially managers) late into the night (or morning). A pattern of shortages resulted in disciplinary actions, up to, and including, termination.
I doubt it. I think the manager issued a statement of support when this first hit and just took her story at face value. Now I think they're probably talking to lawyers, dotting i's and crossing t's before they throw her to the wolves.
The ONLY reason this homo-scam came to light is because the observant victims were on top of it and did the diligent investigation on their own. AND had the courage to repudiate a sacred sodomite. Otherwise, this leftist lie would have been allowed to metastasize unchallenged.
It’s hard to believe, but it sounds like they were willing to let it go if the story died down. The fact that it kept growing was the only reason they spoke up.
