City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito vowed Thursday to block federal agents from city property where New Yorkers get social services, saying the city would act as a “watchdog” against President Trump’s immigration policies.

The properties include hospitals, court houses, homeless shelters and job centers.

This piece of filth dares to forbid officers of the Department of Probation, the NYPD and the Department of Correction to "act as ICE agents and enforce immigration law", saying, "They have better things to do." She is the City Council speaker. Doesn't she have better things to do than stand up for the non-existent rights of criminal invaders and interfere with the lawful apprehension of same? Doesn't that make her a criminal herself and thus liable for jail time and prosecution? If this doesn't, nothing will. If this doesn't end up with her being charged for obstruction, then we have no hope for the NYC City Council or for the rule of law in NYC. I have previously informed FReepers of this piece of filth's actual true loyalty: it's to Puerto Rico, NOT to the stupid constituents who elected her. I just wish she would move back there and stay there and quit trying to funnel endless money of NYC taxpayers to the nere-do-wells in Puerto Rico.

Protecting her voters?

I see PERP-WALKS coming for any hack politician who "conceals, harbors or shields" illegal aliens - or "attempts" to do the same.

Under federal law it is a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison. (LINK) as excerpted below:

8 U.S. Code § 1324 - Bringing in and harboring certain aliens
(a)(1)(A) Any person who__
              (iii) knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that an alien has come to, entered, or remains
                    in the United States in violation of law, conceals, harbors, or shields from detection, or
                    attempts to conceal, harbor, or shield from detection, such alien in any place, including any
                    building or any means of transportation...

      (B) A person who violates subparagraph (A) shall, for each alien in respect to whom such a
              (i) in the case of a violation of subparagraph (A)(i) or (v)(I) or in the case of a violation of
                   subparagraph (A)(ii), (iii), or (iv) in which the offense was done for the purpose of commercial
                   advantage or private financial gain, be fined under title 18, imprisoned not more than 10 years,
                   or both;
             (ii) in the case of a violation of subparagraph (A)(ii), (iii), (iv), or (v)(II), be fined under title 18,
                   imprisoned not more than 5 years, or both;
