According to a promo aired during Special Report moments ago, Chris Wallace (son of Mike Wallace and broadcast network correspendent in his own right for more than two decades), will become the host of Fox News Sunday beginning December 7.
Tony Snow, who has given up his substitute anchor duties on Special Report to undertake a talk show on the Fox Radio Network, has not commented, when making on-air announcements of his schedule change, that he is also giving up the excellent and popular Sunday morning talker on the Fox Broadcast Network. Whether the promo which ran tonight represents a change in plans or something which had been planned all along is unknown.

I can just barely stand the sound of Tony's voice for an hour.
When I heard him subbing for Rush, I immediately switched stations.
Only Wolf Blitzer has as a monotonous voice as Tony Snow.
I give his new radio show 60-90 days, at best!

Fox Network (not the cable outlet) is trying to improve the ratings of their Sunday show. I don't know what the ratings have been recently, with the collapse of ABC's Stephanopolous show, but Fox's Sunday show has been last among the four network Sunday shows most of the time.

What is Wallace's political persuasion?

Tony announced on his Weekend Live show for several weeks that he was giving up Fox News Sunday and that he will be on Weekend Live on Saturday mornings only, 5 days a week he will be doing radio, working on trying to get markets for his radio program.

Too bad.
Tony's a lot more likeable than Chris Wallace.
And bright.
He's a loss for FOX News.

Tony Snow is not leaving FNC or Fox ~ he will still have his Saturday show on FNC and a daily (new) Fox Radio talk show.

Say it ain't snow!
Chris Mallace will replace Tony Snow? Physically, perhaps, but Fox News ought to start looking for Prissy Chrissy's replacement starting today, November 25, 2003. Look for ratings to go into the tank.

He isn't leaving Fox News. He will still host Brit's show on Friday and the Weekend news slots as before.
Regarding Chris Wallace....... He is his father's son. Mike Wallace is responsible for decades of biased reporting. We can only hope Roger Ailes knows what he is doing. Perhaps Chris had a nephiny and a blinding flash of light cleansed the leftist bias from his soul.
We'll see.

Who gets FOX Radio? I've never heard of it. Or maybe it's only on XM Sattelite?

Where do you live? I get FOX radio in Sacramento, CA, and listen to it every day. Maybe on FOX's internet site, you can find a local affiliate?

Still taking over for Brit?
Still on Sat?
GOOD !
"a blinding flash of light cleansed the leftist bias from his soul."
A blinding flash of CASH might do it.

I live in Chicago. We only have one radio station here - WLS-AM. It's owned by ABC but it's 90 percent Conservative. I do a little BCB DXing at night - I can hear many stations east of the Rockies all the way to Philly - but I've never in all my radio "travels" heard a FOX Radio station. But I'll be looking for one. : )

. . .well, whether Tony's' voice is one you love or love to hate; I do wish him best of success in his new medium. A voice of reason and truth is always a blessing to share with an audience.
I do listen to him; but am continually annoyed by what I have described as the 'smile in his voice'.
Perhaps that is the monotony you describe. I find myself wondering; what does he sound like when he is 'really' mad.
And I conclude; he probably sounds like he is smiling 'ear to ear'.

Forgot to add, I think Chris Wallace is a great replacement for Tony. Good luck to him as well.

It just might. I the sceptic have my doubts. After a few weeks the leftist drool will spill from the corners of his mouth.
