It’s a pretty crowded field, but, as has been noted, there isn’t a first-tier candidate running. Congressman Dean Heller (whose voting record in the House has been pretty good) would probably clear the field and be our strongest opponent against Harry Reid. It would also allow term-limited conservative state Senator Maurice Washington to run for the House seat. (I know, I know, Heller hasn’t expressed interest in the Senate race, and there’s no guarantee that Washington would run for Congress if the seat oppened up, but I’m just pointing out what would be our best-case scenario.)
BTW, do we know anything about Sue Lowden’s or Danny Tarkanian’s stances on the issues? From what I’ve read about Lowden, I suspect that she’s a liberal on social issues.
Well Lowden served in the state Senate. Get this, she beat the then rat majority leader Jack Vergiels in 1992.
An enterprising person could research her voting record.
I’m not that enterprising . . . . : )
I did Google her and found out that as a delegate to the GOP National Convention in 1996 she opposed the part of the party platform that called for the Human Life Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
