No one should have been surprised when President Trump followed through on his Aug. 15 campaign call for extreme vetting of visitors to America from dangerous parts of the globe. But the details of the presidents executive orderas well as the timing and the confusion that accompanied the rolloutare disconcerting.
The administration issued its policy Friday afternoon, a time normally used in Washington to bury bad stories. Moreover, it came unaccompanied by briefing papers and talking points, and no officials immediately explained it. It took two hours before reporters received copies of the final orderand another two before White House officials answered their questions.
The policy was effective immediately, leaving hundreds of visa holders from seven countries in limbo. Some were detained as they flew into U.S. airports from abroad, others turned back or were not allowed to board their planes overseas. The administration even applied the policy to green-card holderslegal permanent residents, most of whom have studied, worked or lived in the U.S. for years.
Chaos and controversy predictably followed. Thousands of protesters turned up at airports around the country. Lawyers rushed to courthouses and were rewarded with judicial orders hobbling the policys execution. The administration reversed itself a day later, allowing green-card holders to be exempted on a case-by-case basis.

#NeverTrump RINO Rove still trying to appear relevant with this article. He's SO certain that things would be much better with his buddy Jeb at the helm. He joins the chorus of McCain, Graham and Rubio who snipe at our new President to hinder him in following the electoral mandate from the American people.

From the dunce that helped bring us the 2008 meltdown.
Hey Rove, F U.
“...It took two hours before reporters received copies of the final order...”
Which, of course, would have given the MSM slime time to organize protests even more numerous than the ad hoc ones (paid for by Soros, of course) were.
yep , it’s going to be 4 years of bitching and complaining
I guess it would have been “rasis” for Rove to call Obama’s fustercluck “rollout” of ObamaCare as being “Amateur Hour at the White House.”
As though the world is one big trade fair staged for the enjoyment of the media hacks.
Yes, let's give a two week lead time warning so anyone planning a terror trip can speed up their plans.
When Rove comes on, I turn of Faux News and switch to the Fox Business channel. So refreshing ...
I have had enough of this azzho, he can take his whiteboard and shove it. FOX needs to dump this creep because both sides of the aisle can’t stand his fat behind.
I’m going to say no. There was much confusion about just exactly what the administration would do and what the details would be. Given the initial confusion and all the possible pitfalls the administration did just fine. The new policy wasn’t going to be a hit with everybody, but it hasn’t been a failure. It could be a lot worse for the administration than it is.
I’ve been in limbo. Not a bad place to get stuck. They have a nice hotel.
“...it is a tale. Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, Signifying nothing.”
When did it become a requirement for the White House to release briefing papers and copies to the press???
The “Fake Stream media” better learn quickly that this isn’t the same old “professional politicians” running the show...
Nobody cares what Pig Face thinks.
Wrong....the media spreads more Fake News
his buddy Jeb at the helm. He joins the chorus of McCain, Graham and Rubio
Cheap Labor Express stooges and the article is printed in the Cheap Labor Express Journal.
Trump didn’t mismanage anything. He signed the order. The mismanagement had to do with obstructionist attitudes of certain individuals who’s duty was to carry out the order.
Here’s Rove’s new career opportunity.
Hey Karl, I hear Dick Cheney is looking for a hunting partner.
