Republican operative Roger Stone wants President Donald Trumps chief of staff, Reince Priebus, ousted from the White House immediately, claiming he is responsible for the extraordinary number of leaks plaguing the Trump administration.
Stone, a former adviser and longtime friend to Trump, suggested Priebus also played a role in Lt. Gen. Michael Flynns recent split from the administration. Flynn resigned as Trumps national security adviser on Monday, following reports that he had discussed easing U.S. sanctions against Russia with the Russian ambassador just days after former President Barack Obama imposed the penalties.
Its time for the little man to go, Stone said on Thursday, referring to Priebus during an interview on The Joe Piscopo Show in which he predicted a massive shake-up in the White House.
At the end of the day, you have leaks ... about the president wearing a tattered bathrobe and watching television, he said, referring to a New York Times report describing Trumps White House rituals. Those kinds of leaks are not coming from loyalists. Theyre coming from Reince Priebus people, and he must bear the responsibility for them.
Stone is one of at least four Trump associates facing an investigation by law enforcement and intelligence agencies after Flynns resignation and a New York Times report alleging repeated contacts between Trumps campaign and the Kremlin. Stone has repeatedly denied the accusations.
Meanwhile, the Republican strategist ― who appeared to take no issue with WikiLeaks release of Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clintons private emails ahead of the 2016 election ― now wants leakers to be punished. And hes branded Priebus a leaker, though its unclear that there is any evidence to support his claim.
Stone also predicted things would end badly for the establishment wing of the White House.
I have no doubt that the pragmatists, the establishment wing of the White House staff, played a role in the downfall of General Flynn, and now they think they can do the same thing to [Trump advisers] Stephen Miller ... and Stephen Bannon, Stone said. But I dont think thats going to happen.
This is going to be like the French Revolution, he added. In the beginning, the guys who get their heads chopped off, some people were cheering. By the end, everybodys getting their head chopped off.
Other Trump confidantes have also questioned Priebuss place in the White House. Trump defender and Newsmax CEO Chris Ruddy bashed the chief of staff on Sunday on CNNs Reliable Sources.
I think Reince Priebus ― good guy, well-intentioned, but he clearly doesnt know how the federal agencies work, said Ruddy. I think the president is not getting the backup he needs in the operation of the White House ... that you would have with a stronger White House chief of staff.
Breitbart claimed in a story on Tuesday that multiple sources within the White House are calling for Priebus to get the boot after the chaotic rollout of Trumps executive order on travel and immigration, which federal courts have now suspended. Bannon, Trumps chief strategist and the former executive chairman of Breitbart, denied the reports on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Trump continued to sing his counsels praises on Monday, telling reporters that Reince is doing a great job. Not a good job. A great job.
Somebody needs to do something and DO IT NOW!
I think there is only one guy I want to hear from on these matters, and that is Trump himself. All other “insiders” need to just STFU.
Nattering nabobs everywhere.

Taking bets and odds. One of the two gave out their passwords?
Jared, Ivanka and Bannon are gonna be unstoppable together! :) :) :)
Obamas Shadow Government Is Organizing To Undermine Trump
wondering if this is why Trump had lunch with Chris Christie earlier in the week.
From your lips to god's ears Roger!!
Yup! As long as they continue to act like Americans and don’t go into politician mode. Politicians are required to kiss the fascist left “media’s” butt every day in order to keep their gig alive.
this must be why Just Jared is joining team bannon..YES!!!!!!!
ALL RINO’s out of the West Wing!! lets do this...
L-R Paul Manafort, Roger Stone and the late Lee Atwater, architect of George H.W. Bush’s 1988 victory.
Picture was from the Early 1980’s I believe, when all three were working for Reagan.
Just remember Trump sizes up people better than most.
The same people in the MSM ‘army’ of liars, dividers, and weasels were those who create stories like this.
I trust Trump.
Quote: “Stone is one of at least four Trump associates facing an investigation by law enforcement and intelligence agencies after Flynns resignation and a New York Times report alleging repeated contacts between Trumps campaign and the Kremlin. Stone has reportedly denied the accusations.”
Stone’s name as being “under investigation” would be the content of a FISA warrant from the FISC. The very leaking of this, whether true or not, is a CRIMINAL act. Citing it in this “article” especially from huffing puffing pooh— doubles down on the criminal sourcing. Add them and this writer to the FBI target list of the “deep state” leakers of obamaumao.
His son in law is begging to learn and take his office walls down after three weeks with Bannon! :) Jared was a conservative, he just never had the right teacher lol
Obviously it’s the Polonium speaking.
It might just be me, but there just might be a rogue element in the NSA.
This priebus fellow was NOT onboard with trump being the GOP candidate, from the beginning, IIRC. He came along, as Trump started winning primary after primary.
Who really owns Priebus?
Trump fired Stone and distanced himself from him. Stone never thought Trump would win. He’s on the outs & is desperate to get back in. Don’t trust his comments.
“Who really owns Priebus?”
Scott Walker? Paul Ryan?

Excellent points. I agree.
One thing. My own experience observing the investigation of leaks is that there is a great deal of deliberate misdirection in where leaks are coming from.
So, if it is “obvious” that it is coming from Priebus or “obvious” that it is the FBI, you can bet it is not.
I trust Trump.
He is a wily player who is not cowed by these idiots. When there were leaks about him meeting intelligence officials he deliberately did not tell any of his own staff to demonstrate that the leaks were coming from the intelligence side.
The interview was on infowars.com I listened to it earlier today.
The PRESIDENT was praising this man in his press conference today. Roger Stone is creating more Fake News.
I remember that, he used an excellent tactic to find the leakers.

I guess the same crime would occur if the ‘being under investigation’ part wasn’t true.
He's been described as "the Lord of Mischief" and "the Prince of Republican sleaze". He now calls himself a Libertarian. He's eccentric and describes himself as a "strategist" and a "consultant" which, translated, means he's out of work and looking for a gig.
Believe NOTHING, NADA that this weirdo says.
Yes, indeed. Leaking the contents of a FISA warrant as such is a major federal crime. Inventing the contents of a FISA warrant... would not be.
I think Preibus as Chief of Staff was a mistake because he's not really a friend of the President and so far he's been extremely ineffective and so he's a crappy Chief Of Staff. But I don't think he's a self destructive idiot.
Stone is and has ALWAYS been an out-and-out weirdo; even when he was much younger. Those of us with good memories remember him from long, long, long ago.
That’s but one of the weird stories about Stone; there are lots more and all, sadly, true.
“Thats but one of the weird stories about Stone; there are lots more and all, sadly, true.”
Start setting up fake leaks as a trap.
He’s like deputy director Skinner from the x files only a lot
more of a weasel. No doubt he meets with many different ‘smoking men’ who give him his real orders.
It was a big mistake by Trump to hire this guy. Disasterous decision. And I am a huge Trump fan, supported him from day one, and still do. But why did he decide to go into this fight with one arm tied behind his back? I can only think his balls are even larger than I first thought.
Instead they’re doubling down on more GOPe scoundrels in the WH:
Not good news at all.
Stone is a long, long time ally and personal friend of Trump’s and a long, long time political operative.
He knows whereof he speaks—even if Trump and Bannon have decided not to ditch Priebus quite yet.
Yep, and then he both threatened to divert resources from the Trump campaign, and eventually did, this summer and fall.
Priebus is a Ryan minion and bad news indeed.
Yep—Stone is a very colorful character who is a brilliant politico on one level, but has often ended up getting in his own way on another level. He generally has to end up being used on the outskirts of a campaign—just as Trump has used him.
It doesn’t, however, make him wrong in this case.
I’m glad to hear you say this. Roger Stone is not to be trusted. I’ve never been a fan, going way back. He doesn’t just shade the facts, he makes them up. I’m relieved he’s not been allowed back in the circle.

exactly, the old blue dye test... :)
If you think you’re so smart you don’t make mistakes, it can be your downfall.
