Judge Nap: Obama 'Went Outside Chain of Command,' Used British Spy Agency to Surveil Trump
foxnews.com ^ | March 14, 2017

Posted on 03/14/2017 7:27:29 AM PDT by Helicondelta

"Three intelligence sources have informed Fox News that President Obama went outside the chain of command," Napolitano said. "He didn't use the NSA, he didn't use the CIA, he didn't use the FBI, and he didn't use the Department of Justice."

Instead, Napolitano said, Obama used GCHQ, a British intelligence and security organization that has 24-7 access to the NSA database.

"There's no American fingerprints on this," Napolitano said. "What happened to the guy who ordered this? Resigned three days after Donald Trump was inaugurated."

That’s how they have done it for eons.

We ask the Brits to spy on our citizens, and in return we spy on theirs. Everyone keeps their hands clean and away from lawsuits.

There has to be at least one set of US fingerprints to connect to the Brits, right?

If this can be proven then Obama has to be prosecuted.

Obama has dispensed with the customary respect and deference shown by a departing president to his successor. I see no reason for Trump not to return the favor.

Some of us here have pointed out that anglo intel is organized this way. The Anglosphere share the load, which allows them to surveil one another’s countries in ways that would not otherwise be legal. If you want to surveil the queen, the Americans do it. If you want to surveil Americans, you let the Brits or Canadians do it. But they are all plugged into the same databases and basically sitting in the same room sharing what they have.

The House Intelligence Committee said it would give the Justice Department until March 20 to comply.

Meaning what, that the committee is anxious to shut down the investigation before it finds anything?

Didn’t John McCain get his info from a Brit.

Apparently, McCain was also running an anti-Trump intel op.

That SOB had to have been plotting this ever since the election, all the while pretending he was such a big help to Pres. Trump. What a deceitful lowlife…but we all knew that. DJT was right again. Trump is a “bad, sick guy.”

This year’s Academy Award should go to Barrack Obama.

This indicates that NO foreign government should have access to ANYTHING that happens in the US. Cut them off.

That would be a significant breach of the sanctity of the election process. Talk about meddling...

"Three intelligence sources have informed Fox News that President Obama went outside the chain of command,"

Sounds as if there are still a few in the government who haven't gone entirely over to the dark side.

As the realization sets in that Trump now has the power and Obama does not we will probably hear more and more about Obama's criminality.

In hindsight I think he intentionally “laundered” that pant load of a dossier, merely provided a pretext for it having been shopped all over the country well before the election. “The thing” I believe some were calling it as early as June 2016.

If this is true, then TRUMP as President can unveil this. ...... hmmmmm, I wonder if that’s why TRUMP “asked the Congress to investigate”, thereby making Congress ASK for the proof, instead of TRUMP disclosing it out of his own volition,

It’s not because of the evidence, it’s because of the seriousness of the charge that calls for an investigation.

I have been posting about 5 eyes, echelon and this program, MUSCULAR for about a month.

“It couldn’t possibly be true, because that is not how our system works,” Pelosi said during a Christian Science Monitor breakfast in Washington.

“We do not investigate, through a FISA court, Americans — here or abroad.”

Well, Nancy how about this:

MUSCULAR (surveillance program)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

MUSCULAR (DS-200B), located in the United Kingdom,[1] is the name of a surveillance programme jointly operated by Britain’s Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) and the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) that was revealed by documents which were released by Edward Snowden and interviews with knowledgeable officials.
[2] GCHQ is the primary operator of the program.[1]GCHQ and the National Security Agency have secretly broken into the main communications links that connect the data centers of Yahoo! and Google.[3]Substantive information about the program was made public at the end of October 2013.

Overview:

The programme is jointly run by:
– Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) (United Kingdom)

– U.S. National Security Agency (NSA)

MUSCULAR is one of at least four other similar programs that rely on a trusted 2nd party, programs which together are known as WINDSTOP. In a 30-day period from December 2012 to January 2013, MUSCULAR was responsible for collecting 181 million records. It was however dwarfed by another WINDSTOP program known (insofar) only by its code DS-300 and codename INCENSER, which collected over 14 billion records in the same period.[4]

Operational details[edit]
According to the leaked document the NSA’s acquisitions directorate sends millions of records every day from internal Yahoo! and Google networks to data warehouses at the agency’s headquarters at Fort Meade, Maryland. The programme operates via an access point known as DS-200B, which is outside the United States, and it relies on an unnamed telecommunications operator to provide secret access for the NSA and the GCHQ.[3]

According to the Washington Post, the MUSCULAR program collects more than twice as many data points (“selectors” in NSA jargon) compared to the better known PRISM.[2] Unlike PRISM, the MUSCULAR program requires no (FISA or other type of) warrants.

Because of the huge amount of data involved, MUSCULAR has presented a special challenge to NSA’s Special Source Operations. For example, when Yahoo! decided to migrate a large amount of mailboxes between its data centers, the NSA’s PINWALE database (their primary analytical database for the Internet) was quickly overwhelmed with the data coming from MUSCULAR.[5]

Closely related programmes are called INCENSER and TURMOIL. TURMOIL, belonging to the NSA, is a system for processing the data collected from MUSCULAR.[1]

According to a post-it style note from the presentation, the exploitation relied on the fact that (at the time at least) data was transmitted unencrypted inside Google’s private cloud, with “Google Front End Servers” stripping and respectively adding back SSL from/to external connections. According to the Washington Post: “Two engineers with close ties to Google exploded in profanity when they saw the drawing.” After the information about MUSCULAR was published by the press, Google announced that it was working on deploying encrypted communication between its datacenters.[2]

But you think they would at least exercise a little discretion. This tells me the Brits may not be the friends we thought they were. Or possibly that their government and/or spy agencies are as infested with communists and subversives as ours are.

I seriously despise anonymous sources, which are used for almost every politically tinged story these days. Anonymous attribution should be relatively uncommon and used only for genuine investigative reporting. Instead either everybody and their brother hide behind anonymity to grind whatever political axe they have, or reporters make up stories. They claim to have one or more sources when all they really have are bits and pieces stitched together with a lot of supposition and gossip.

So just because Napolitano says this doesn't give it any more credibility than if Schumer said it...if you get my meaning.

Obama was a friend to the Brits that were against Brexit. Trump was for Brexit, so I’m sure it wouldn’t have been hard to find someone in their own deep state willing to spy on him. The politicians over there are trying to ban Trump from visiting their parliament.

... organization that has 24-7 access to the NSA database.

"There's no American fingerprints on this," Napolitano said.

Interesting view of "no American fingerprints." The government can snoop all it wants, and as long as it gives full and free access to a foreigner, there are no American fingerprints on the disclosure.

This guy must be a judge or something, with logic like that.
