North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has decided not to launch a threatened missile attack on Guam, Pyongyangs state media reported on Tuesday, but warned that he could change his mind if the Yankees persist in their extremely dangerous reckless actions.
The report, published early Tuesday, could help dial back tensions that had spiraled last week following an exchange of threats between North Korea and U.S. President Donald Trump.
Mr. Trump warned Pyongyang last week that the U.S. military was locked and loaded and could engulf the North in fire and fury, while North Korea, through its state media, had threatened to fire four missiles in a bid to surround the U.S. territory of Guam in enveloping fire.
North Korean state media said in its report Tuesday that Mr. Kim had made his decision not to fire on Guam after visiting a military command post and examining a military plan presented to him by his senior officers.
While Mr. Kim said he had decided not to launch the attack on Guam yet, he advised the U.S. to take into full account whether the current standoff was to its benefit. He also said it was incumbent on the U.S. to stop at once arrogant provocations against the DPRK and unilateral demands and not provoke it any longer, using an abbreviation for the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea, the formal name for North Korea.
If the Yankees persist in their extremely dangerous reckless actions on the Korean Peninsula and in its vicinity, testing the self-restraint of the DPRK, the [North] will make an important decision as it already declared, the report quoted Mr. Kim as saying.
Mr. Kim added that the planned launch could still be carried out at any moment, and said that such a strike would be a most delightful historic moment that would wring the windpipes of the Yankees and point daggers at their necks.
Now we know why the riots in Virginia happened. Word of NK backing down came through the backchannels and the DNC/Soros machine swung into motion. That's why the MSM was all in lockstep with the exact words and timing. This was a setup. Trump just got a huge foreign policy win; something no other President before him was able to do.
Add in the 20 or so former FBI and NASA scientists and engineers who came out with the finding that the Russia hack is one big lie. The download was done by an individual who walked into the DNC and plugged his/her storage device into the DNC server. Now we know why the DNC wouldn't let the FBI see the server; actually the FBI/Comey was involved in the coverup.
This was all too much good news for President Trump. The DNC/MSM had to do something to take him down.
I guess Kim Jong Un decided that NK wouldn’t look too good as a large “glass parking lot”.
Kim Jong Un was more worried about his refrigerator destroyed by US retaliation.
Back channels working?
I think Kim just wanted to see if he could squeeze money out of Trump to behave, like he did with Clinton and Obama.
This is what happens when we have a President who stands up for America, rather than apologizing for it.
It’s Load & Lock... Hollywood got it wrong.
I tend to agree with your comment...’squeezing money’. With China hinting of a trade halt, the whole game was something new that they hadn’t seen before. There won’t be a dime handed over to NK.
go figure, considering China was about to lock ‘em out of fuel & food starting in sept.
NK had nothing to gain and everything to lose.
This is BS.
Trump has put the full diplomatic screws to NK, and deserves credit.
But it won’t matter. China wants what it wants.
Sure, progs, tough talk doesn’t work. But it does ehen the enemy knows you’ll back it up.
Fat fingered it... I apologize
