Hillary Doesn’t Understand What a Convention of States Actually Is
Legal Insurrection ^ | September 27th 2017 | Taryn O'Neill

(Hillary joins FreeRepublic Article V Opponents.)

While making the rounds on her book tour, Hillary Clinton recently sat down with Vox’s Ezra Klein to discuss her failed presidential bid, President Trump, and the challenges currently faced by the Democrat minority. Among those challenges, Clinton warned, is a “radical change” being pursued by forces on the right: “There’s a big move for change coming from the right that I think would be disastrous for our country.

They want radical, ‘pull ’em up by the roots’ change. They want to have a constitutional convention to rewrite our constitution, to make it friendlier to business, to inject religious and ideological elements. So talk about radical change!

(snip)

As Legal Insurrection has explained in past posts on the subject, this convention of the states does not pass constitutional amendments into law, but merely proposes and, if approved, sends amendments to the fifty states for an up or down vote. The process is neither an open, runaway, constitutional convention nor can it somehow result in a constitution written anew. Exactly where Clinton gets her information on the convention of states or Article V process remains a mystery. It is clear, however, that she failed to consult even Wikipedia, which has a fairly straightforward entry on the procedure.

(snip)

COS Project advocates for limiting the scope and jurisdiction of the Federal Government, setting fiscal restraints on Congress (a balanced budget, for example), imposing term limits on federal officials. In other words, state legislative resolutions passed would explicitly limit the convention being called to the aforementioned subject matters.  As of this writing, thirteen state legislatures have formally called for a convention of the states on the above three subject matters, the most recent states being Texas and Missouri.

Although Clinton and FR Article V opponents lack a fundamental grasp of the convention of states process, she is clearly concerned with any movement to restrain the power of the Federal Government.

Her counter to that would be, “ Well Trump doesn’t know Puerto Ricans are US citizens.” Relevance factor? ZERO!

Nonsense! Hillary was the most qualified candidate to run for president in the history of the Republic. There can be absolutely nothing she doesn’t understand! (I hope the sarcasm is duly noted.)

A Convention of States os nothing more than a means to whatever agenda Hillary wants to impose on us.

Of course she doesn’t. She went to law school where they DON’T teach you the actual Constitution but something the law school calls “Constitutional Law” which has very little to do with the Constitution as written and originally understood and intended.

Law-school taught “Constitutional Law” is actually SCOTUS LAW mostly invented from the bench over the last 125 years or so, mostly unconstitutional and, thus, mostly invalid law. Of course SCOTUS doesn’t constitutionally make national law anyway because the scope of SCOTUS’ decisions constitutionally reaches only to the individual cases and controversies it decides and any other case with the same questions of law and facts.

How far we have fallen from the U.S. Constitution being the Supreme law of the Land over the feds including SCOTUS. It will take God’s miracle to restore our Free Constitutional Republic, and that’s exactly what I think will happen when We the People rise up and retake our land in faith and by the grace and power of the Divine Providence of God Almighty as in 1776.

THE ENTIRE LEFT is clearly concerned with ANYTHING that restrains the power of the Federal Government including electing pro-American, limited-government Presidents like Trump, and any prospect of the states exercising their constitutional sovereignty to nullify and reject unconstitutional federal acts which by definition are acts of tyranny.

Hillary who? Oh are you talking about the girl that was named and born 6 years before Sir Edmund Hillary climbed Mt. Everest? The same person who couldn’t get elected because she was a woman when she ran against Trump, but she also couldn’t get elected when she ran against a black man, and had to jerry-rig the system to barely beat out an old white-male socialist/commie in the during the primaries?

I vaguely remember something about her from the news...

When it comes to The Constitution, Hillary the disbarred lawyer, is totally ignorant. Now ask her about being dictator of a banana republic and she could fill volumes.

Up until this point, Clinton could have been talking about the left's National Popular Vote movement, which I'm sure she thinks is a-okay.

No offense but this sort of stuff is wasted ink. Hillary and her supporters don’t care at all about the Constitution or anything else except gaining totalitarian control and opening the camps.

It’s more than just bone deep stupidity, she’s also probably deeply mentally retarded and should be locked in a mental hospital for the criminally insane.
