Roger Goodell has signed a five-year contract extension to remain the commissioner of the NFL, according to a letter obtained by ESPN.
A source told ESPN's Adam Schefter that the new contract would be worth $200 million over the life of the contract -- about $40 million annually -- if owners approve all the bonuses and all the incentives are met.

NFL commits suicide and pays 200 million to do it.
The NFL will be dead in 5. Perfect.
Where’s that slim Pickens pic?
The owners are fools and just shot the other foot.
It’s kind of like mass suicide. The NFL is so dysfunctional that the owners aren’t capable of identifying and solving their problems. Instead, they’re addicted to Goodell,
NF’nL gone in 5..4..3..2..1
They clearly don’t give a hoot what the fans think, or worse, are throwing their slop in our faces. So be it, the NFL needs to be ignored and bankrupted until it is just a bad memory.
I am addicted to my NFL boycott—and I will outlast Goodell.
I will not be renewing my season tickets this year after attending one game. If they want my business back they must start by firing Roger Goodell...
This is the death Knell for the NFL.
Along with Joe Lockhart. Bye bye NFL.
Me too. I havent watched ANY NFL games on Sundays making it more time for doing stuff. Unfortunately, my GF knows of my boycott so she harasses me to go to the mall with her.
National Felon League, while committing suicide, pays Goodell, 200 million $’s to do a slow and agonizing mercy killing of the National Felon League. They have given him 5 years to finish their mercy killing.
The best election ever, just gets better.
At $40 million a year I can see why his wife no longer works at FNC.
Note to NCAAF players: This one’s for you, guys...
So many people are so overpaid with paper money. I could easily do his job for a cool million a year. I’d be willing to do it for $250,000 a year.
