Marty Allen, the baby-faced, bug-eyed comedian with wild black hair who was a staple of TV variety shows, game shows and talk shows for decades, died Monday night. He was 95.
Allen died in Las Vegas of complications from pneumonia with his wife and performing partner of the last three decades Karon Kate Blackwell by his side, Allen's spokeswoman Candi Cazau told The Associated press.
Allen, known for his greeting and catchphrase "hello dere," was a living link late in life to a generation of long-dead superstars with whom he shared a stage, including Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Lena Horne and Elvis Presley

I remember Marty well as a kid growing up, He was in a lot of stuff and pretty funny. Well with Don Rickles death last year and Marty Allen I think about all the classic people I grew up with are gone. What an era and what talent there was, never to be duplicated and most of them did not have to resort to Bathroom Humor and Dirty Language to be funny.
God Speed Marty and thanks for all the laughs.
I saw him within the last two weeks on an episode of Tattletales which aired in the mid-70s.
Another great talent has been called home. RIP and thanks for the laughs.
The older we get the more we remember,we’ll all be remembered eventually
RIP Mr Allen
World War II
He then joined the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was stationed in Italy where he attained the rank of sergeant and earned a Soldier’s Medal for his bravery during a fire which happened while a plane was being refueled. His heroism also earned him a full-dress parade
In 1968 he made a “Hello Dere” tour of military hospitals in the United States (a tour named after a catch phrase he popularized). He repeated the tour annually until 1972. During the tours, he talked with and entertain wounded soldiers who had just returned from Vietnam. He is also involved in a number of charitable causes including the American Cancer Society, The Heart Fund, The March of Dimes, Fight for Sight, Cerebral Palsy, and is on the board of the Epilepsy Foundation.
Wow, I thought he died years ago.
I think only Shecky Greene is left, he’s 91.

Everytime an old time comedian dies, it’s a reminder of how the PC Leftists have destroyed comedy over the past several decades.
Trump embodies the old school Vegas anti-PC spirit. He’s not a stand up comic, but catch phrases like “crooked Hillary” “fake news”, “little Marco”, and “low energy Jeb” are the kind of trash talking put downs that a wise cracking comic would come up with.
Liberals can’t stand him because there’s a hunger out there for the kind of sharp edged humor that they want to shout down. And to have a Conservative politician using this kind of humor to skewer Liberals is a nightmare for them.
Here’s a great one from Hawaii. By today’s standards it would never fly, even though he says nothing wrong LOL.
For anyone else from Hawaii, this will bring back good memories:
Rap Replinger: Japanese Roll Call (it’s only about 38 seconds)
My dad walked around saying Hellooo dere. Wonder if that was where he got that.
Total Jewfro. Lol.
“I think only Shecky Greene is left, hes 91.”
Very few are left, but a few names stick out for me:
Mel Brooks, Carl Reiner, Dick Van Dyke, Betty White and Doris Day. Two more could be Angela Lansbury, and Larry Storch.
rest in peace...
Newheart is last man standing ...
