A gentleman called Joe Crummey(KABC)with respect to driver's licenses for illegals. His comment was very interesting. Should anything happen as a result of said licenses, Gray Davis would be held responsible and could face legal action. I'm not sure of legalities but, if he is held responsible wouldn't the Senate and Assembly be accountable too! Went to the California Bills Site and this is what I found. I'm sorry I didn't know how to go about separating the names.

One more question if I might, when applying for a license an illegal registers to vote, does that mean it is possible for him to be called for Jury Duty?

You got it. They will be virtually indistinguishable from citizens and no one will have the right to ask.

Bruce McPherson's vote is interesting. He's about as RINO as you can get in California and still be a Republican. Now Common Tator and the RINO boosters on here say better a live RINO than a dead Democrat. Here's the answer to those who say better Large Breasts over Arnold.

Sure, but noncitizens cannot serve on juries.

The jury duty rolls come from drivers license and voter registration rolls. If an illegal alien gets a license, he may be called for jury duty. This already happens to permanent residents and non-resident aliens who get drivers licenses in CA (legally, of course).

I don't think people who apply for or get drivers license are automatically registered to vote. The voter registration application is attached to the drivers license application, but they're two separate forms that are processed in different places.

He's been drifting rightward ever since he got his butt handed to him in 2002 much harder than the conservatives.

He voted, for the first time ever, in favor of gun rights a couple of months back.

RINOs need to LOSE, and LOSE BIG (like McPherson did) in order to realize that being a RINO is not the way to go.

Here's to Arnold getting devastated at the polls.

"His comment was very interesting. Should anything happen as a result of said licenses, Gray Davis would be held responsible and could face legal action."

Tancredo brought this issue up last year in regards to the matricular cards. His point was, if "pedro" uses his metricular card as ID for city/county/state services, that agency could be held liable (in civil court) for crimes committed by "pedro". This scenario seems to be even easier to deal with if "pedro" has a CA license.

You better believe there will be lawsuits for damages against the state of CA if pedro and 2 million of his best friends get these licenses.

I hope it makes you feel better when Bustamanie wins, because that's what's going to happen. In a perfect world i would vote for MCClintock, but McClintock can't win when there is a million and a half more democrat voters, and an outstanding state senator who is too conservative and not rich like Arnold.

Get real dude!

Quick quiz: which brand of Republican (liberal or conservative) lost by a wider margin in the upticket races?

Answer: The liberal one (Bruce McPherson). The conservative ones actually did better than their liberal ones on the same ticket.

To spell it out, they got more votes than the liberal Republicans like Arnold did. People vote for a choice when you give it to them. McPherson, Campbell, Fong, Huffington, et. al. have all lost statewide by HUGE margins, some at the same time as a Republican (granted, not the most conservative one ever, but not quite as bad as these clowns), was winning the governor's office (Huffington and Wilson, 1994).

Arnold will go the same way: into flaming defeat.

Mc Phearson is a RINO but that's not why he wasn't elected Lt.Gov. McClintock didn't win the Comptroller's Office last year, remember?

Don't forget that Pete Wilson was a pro-choice moderate Republican, and was a Governor for 2 terms.

Remember, there is about a million and a half more Democrat voters in Calif. This is an unfortunate fact.I wish it were not so,but it would be a nightmare If Bustamanie became gov.,and I learned that I threw my vote away because I couldn't face facts!

When a family member went to the DMV (dept of mexican voters-- Savage), inquired if he could register to vote, there. "yes." They still did not give him an application. As he is a white male, I figure that was the reason they did not give one to him.

So our very own Tim Leslie(R) didn't care to vote on this. This concerns me. The only excuse I would accept is if he were so critically injured he couldn't get out of a hospital bed or if an immediate family member of his was in the same plight. Otherwise, RECALL!

Better you should stick with a tremendously-weakened Grey Davis than elect either Bustamante OR that arch-RINO, Arnold.

From the text of the bill:
"...The bill would allow an applicant for a driver's license or identification card who is presently not eligible for a social security account number, but who submits a specified affidavit signed under penalty of perjury, and a federal individual taxpayer identification number or other number or identifier that is deemed appropriate by the department, to submit those documents to the department in lieu of a social security account number, and those documents would be acceptable until the applicant obtains a social security account number..."

Just checked the text of the bill and, boy am I suprised. The bill gives valid, state issued CA id cards to anyone who wants them. These cards will be accepted as vaild id to obtain public benefits, get jobs requiring security clearances, to buy guns, ammo and explosives, to board planes and gain access to controlled sites.

Apparently this bill has nothing to do with "making the streets safer by allowing working immigrant drivers to be tested and licensed." Apparently it has something to do with vote pandering.

There's a big differene between a RINO and a liberal Republican. Liberal Republicans often stick with the team when push comes to shove. RINOs on the other hand could give a rats rear about the cause and behave like Democrats most of the time.

The likes of Arnold and Richard Riordan are RINOs. McPherson and some of the others are liberal Republicans. Probably part of the reason these debates are so heated is that the Arnold defenders think of him as a liberal Republican when he's not even that.

I don't agree with McPherson in a lot of areas, but he's no Riordan-Schwarzenegger RINO. Bruce alwauys casts his vote for the Republican leader. You would not be able to count on that with one of the other bozos.
