I see you have a problem with things being put into logical perspective when it's inconvenient to your feelings about certain matters.
Since driving at 5 mph versus 55 mph lowers the percentage of highway deaths dramatically, to be consistent, do you also feel that the difference in percentage is "[?] % too many"?
"Number two, I spoke against people who think that it's not okay to try to prevent CHILDREN from smoking, and you somehow take offense at THAT?"
No. I'm an emotionally mature adult, and don't take offense at the beliefs of others, even if they're wrong.
But you seem to have taken offense that I put things in perspective.
And now you have made it necessary for me to also point out that you are being disengenuous, and you know it, when you make the ludricrous inference that Rush (or any other rational, responsible adult), thinks people are wrong to advise children not to smoke.
Don't waste your time trying to defend your position, either, because I have listened to Rush every single day for many years and also tape his programs. I KNOW what he thinks and believes, and you have misrepresented him.
From the article:
"Hey, here's something for you diehard baseball fans to chew on: a new twist on Little League play out of Kentucky. Two teams -- one for 11-year-olds, the other for 12-year-olds -- both have the same unusual name: Smoking Kills. That's right, the antismoking hysteria has now reached a point where Little League teams are wearing uniforms with the team name Smoking Kills."
Limbaugh went on to denounce Mike as a "holier-than-thou" liberal.
