A local news radio channel in Arizona ran a fluff piece on a family that is in transition — as in, the entire family, including the two young children, are all transgender. Daniel Harrot, the “father” of the family, is a 41-year-old biological female who identifies as a male. “It feels like you’re getting to live for the first time,” Daniel told KJZZ. “And my children are getting to be who they’ve always wanted to be.” Daniel’s daughter Mason, an 11-year-old biological female, identifies as a boy. And his son Josh, a 13-year-old biological male, identifies as a girl. Confused...

I don't understand why prescription medicine is allowed to advertise on TV or why anyone would think of trying one of the medicines after listening to the laundry list of warnings of possible side effects. Suppose the Food and Drug Administration expanded their domain and regulated the wine business. Here’s a possible outcome of that control. ============================== ====== - Do you have feelings  of inadequacy? - Do you suffer from shyness? - Do you sometimes wish you were more assertive? - Do you sometimes feel stressed? If you answered yes to any of these questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist...
  • 10 Gag Gifts For Every Conservative On Your Christmas List

Now that President Donald J. Trump has been in office for a little more than a year, the political gag gifts have changed to reflect the shift in power. Tons of shirts, books and even coffee cups reflect Trump's famous motto, "Make America Great Again." Other gifts make fun of liberals and their prized candidate, Hillary Clinton. With Christmas around right around the corner, it is now time to think about the one person that is always hard to shop for. They generally love politics, and they generally have a sick sense of humor, right? These are 10 of the...

It's not exactly a deserted island, but Melania Trump appeared more than happy to revel in some Christmas joy at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday. Dressed in a festive green Prada peacoat ($2,480,, fitted tan pants, and matching high-heel boots, FLOTUS played a modern Mrs. Claus, as she helped children from military families sort and box donations to the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots campaign. The Toys for Tots program has provided toys and other Christmas gifts to families who can't afford them since the 1940s. After assisting with the sorting, Melania sat down to...

Washington (CNN) — First lady Melania Trump's popularity continues to climb, according to a new poll out Friday. The first lady's favorability rating now stands at 54%, up from 37% favorable in January 2017, per a Gallup poll conducted last week. Her unfavorable rating is down slightly from 37% to 33%, with 13% having no opinion. Nearly a year into her husband's time in office, the first lady has embraced her role, and though she has maintained an air of mystery through her desire for privacy, she has raised her national profile, moving into the White House with son, Barron,...

While enduring a ‘bug’ this week that left me unable to do much but sleep or sit in front of the TV, I happened upon Clarissa Dickson Wright’s series, ‘Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner’, which you can find on YouTube, and which is a really interesting history of how our 'three squares', and the ways we partake of them, have evolved over time. In the Lunch episode, she featured a pasty (yes, no 'r') crust design, executed by food scholar Ivan Day. This was so beautiful, I had to find the design, and know more about it. On the way, I...

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. - A 93-year-old Eustis woman arrested this week after allegedly refusing to leave the apartment she was being evicted from, has been released from jail. She was released Thursday by the judge on her own recognizance and was turned over to a caregiver. Before Fitzgerald left the jail, she showed Channel 9 the bruises on her arms and legs, injuries she said she received during her arrest. "Now, can you imagine anybody doing that to an old woman?" she...

In a disgusting attempt to promote its abortion agenda, abortion activists sent six pro-life Trump administration officials a box of condoms. Although pro-life advocates generally don’t oppose contraception the publicity stunt was meant to shame the officials into supporting abortion. Six Trump appointees in the Department of Health and Human Services today were sent a colorful package of Endangered Species Condoms and a letter urging them to promote abortion. The holiday delivery of these “condom care packages” is part of the Center for Biological Diversity’s project to raise awareness about its efforts to push population control on the world. “These...

So far we have seen only a fraction of Strzok’s texts. But it is already clear from the few available that the massive abuse of power against Trump rested on an enormous sense of entitlement — that Trump was a singular “menace” to be stopped by an entrenched ruling class. From this elite drunk on its own rectitude came the foulest free-for-all atmosphere imaginable, in which those who cried “collusion” the loudest engaged it in the most.

First Lady Melania Trump glowed in a vibrant pop-of-color for her visit with children of military families at a “Toys for Tots” event at the Joint Base Acostia-Bolling in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday. Melania chose an emerald green, wool Prada coat for her visit with the military kids, pairing the vivid top with khaki-toned J Brand jeans and matching nearly-knee-high leather boots. The Prada coat is made in Italy and features six oversized buttons and a giant, waist-cinching belt buckle, a favorite silhouette of Melania’s.

McLennan County District Attorney Abel Reyna has been selected as chairman of the executive board of the Special Prosecution Unit for the State of Texas. Special Prosecution Unit was founded in 1984 to combat the growing gang violence in Texas prisons. Since then, SPU has expanded to include not just the prosecution of felony criminal offenses that occur inside our prisons and juvenile justice facilities, but also the civil commitment of sexually violent predators. "I am proud of the great work we are doing for the citizens of McLennan County. I am honored to receive, and am humbled by, the...

Global inequality has stabilized at high levels in recent years, a report said Friday, despite gains among the poor in China and much milder disparities in incomes and wealth in Western Europe. The World Inequality Report 2018 is based on a massive, interactive collection of data compiled by an international team of researchers that includes renowned economists Thomas Piketty and Emmanuel Saez. It shows inequality has soared since 1980, although the global top “1 percent” saw their share of global income slip slightly after the 2008 financial crisis, to just above 20 percent. At the same time, the share of...

Hoffman agrees that The Graduate’s success is a salutary reminder to the film industry of today that it takes bold creative decisions to bust apart conventional wisdom and make films that reflect real people’s lives. However, he’s sceptical about the movies’ ability to tackle racism. “I don’t think that’s ever going to go away,” he says. “I think there’s always going to be some kind of bigotry or some kind of racism. There has to be, because people can’t feel that they have any hero qualities unless there’s someone beneath them.” He laughs. Does that account for the rise of...

In the 1970's something occurred, an event occurred in the U.S. that ultimately caused businesses, government, etc. to perform mandatory sexual harassment classes. I can't remember what it was at the time in I believe the latter 1970's that caused the glorious waste of time (IMO) that to this day is a requirement in most workplaces. Was it something similar to what is inundating the headlines today? Is what we are subjected to daily now simply deja vu?
