During a two part interview with President Trump aired on 60 Minutes on Sunday night, Lesley Stahl asked “what’s the biggest surprise” he's learned as President? Trump cited the duplicity of Washington politicians, but when he relayed how “the other thing I’ve really learned is I never knew how dishonest the media was and I really mean it. I’m not saying that as a soundbite. I never knew how dishonest,” Stahl cut him off: “I’m going to change the subject again.” Referring to an earlier exchange, Trump pointed out: “Well, no, even the way you asked me a question, like,...

At least seven murals in San Francisco’s iconic Clarion Alley have been defaced with right-wing Republican slogans this weekend. A mural touting immigrant rights has been plastered with red “Make America Great Again” hats, a hashtag followed by the phrase “Fake News” was painted over a mural of honoring people slain by police and “KAVANAUGH justice for all!” was plastered over a mural that used to read “JUSTICE FOR SAHLEEM TINDLE,” an Oakland man shot and killed by BART police.

Despite his sharp criticism of the president during the 2016 campaign, Mitt Romney over the weekend denied he led the "never Trump" movement among conservatives. Romney, the 2012 GOP presidential nominee who is currently running for a Senate seat in Utah, said that while Trump was not the candidate he wanted, he supports many of the president’s policies.
  • Trump on rally blitz as he tries to stave off Dem gains [gains??]

President Donald Trump gazes out over his rally crowd and looses a stream of insults with a theatrical flourish and playful grin. He jabs at Cory Booker the “disaster” mayor, Elizabeth Warren the “Pocahontas” pretender and “sleepy” Joe Biden. “I want to be careful,” Trump tells the crowd, feigning a confession. He doesn’t want to hit his potential challengers too badly, he says, because then the Democrats may find “somebody that’s actually good to run against me. That would not be good.” The venue may be Council Bluffs, Iowa, or Erie, Pennsylvania, or Topeka, Kansas, but the formula is largely...

One of these days I am going to feel sorry for Jim Acosta, but I am not there yet. Very few people in the administration like or respect him. He is considered by most people I know (including liberals) as the most unprofessional member of the White House press corps. And as if to prove it today he tweeted something petty about Kanye West’s visit to the White House, and he was practically disemboweled on twitter.

(Newser) – Michelle Obama and George W. Bush have long had a special relationship, and at John McCain's funeral, a video of the former president handing the former first lady a cough drop as they sat next to one another in the crowd went viral. Obama, appearing on TODAY Thursday, explained. "It was a simple gesture," she said. As Bush got out a cough drop for his wife, Laura, "I looked over and I said, 'Hand me a cough drop,'" and he did. "President Bush and I, we are forever seatmates because of protocol. That's how we sit at all...
  • Trump Fans Line Up Early

COUNCIL BLUFFS — There’s little doubt about the loyalty of President Donald Trump’s biggest fans. The president, whose polling numbers among Republicans show tremendous buoyancy under any circumstances, is scheduled to speak starting at about 6:30 p.m. With thousands in a line that stretched around a strip mall, through the parking lot and around the field house, the doors to the Mid-America Center opened just before 3:30 p.m. Hours before, at 10:30 a.m., a crowd of more than 150 people had lined up outside the Mid-America Center. About 10 of them had camped out overnight. One family of campers took...

Democratic Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke’s senate campaign was flagged by the Federal Election Commission (FEC) on Sunday for accepting “excessive” and “impermissible” donations. The FEC notified O’Rourke that a preliminary review of his campaign’s July quarterly report showed contributions from one or more individuals with addresses outside of the United States. Donations were also made that “exceed the limit” determined by the federal government. O’Rourke has 45 days to respond. Holding a sign declaring: “Respect female existence or expect our resistance,” the 27-year-old was one of the dozens of protesters to storm the atrium of a Senate office building on Friday before she was arrested alongside fellow actress Amy Schumer. “Today I was arrested protesting the Supreme Court nomination of Brett Kavanaugh, a man who has been accused by multiple women of sexual assault,” Ratajkowski wrote on Instagram.

Gov. John Kasich (R-Ohio) said Sunday that he thinks Democrats will have a "good year" in the November midterms. "How good? I'm not so sure, because if their message is abolish ICE and things like that, if -- they're not going to have a big wave," Kasich said on CNN's "State of the Union." "The natural progression of things is, when the president's in two years out, the other party does well," he said. "I don't know how big the wave is going to be," the governor said. "So we got to see what happens in November, but then we...
  • All Too Real? An Avenatti Law Firm TV Commercial Parody

    Newsbusters ^ | October 7, 2018 | P.J. Gladnick
It was inevitable that it would happen so why did it take so long? What? A Michael Avenatti parody. The reason for the inevitability of the Avenatti parody commercial created by Tom Elliott, the founder of Grabien Media is that Avenatti has been so ubiquitous on television. NewsBusters on June 15 reported that Michael Avenatti made 173 television interview appearances since just March 7 of this year. Add in his appearances since June and Avenatti must have reached a total of over 200 and still counting. Therefore in the interests of historical accuracy permit your humble correspondent to pose a...

Former US Secretary of State John Kerry on Friday warned of a war with Iran after the United States pulled out of the 2015 nuclear deal between the Islamic Republic and world powers, AFP reported. Kerry spearheaded the diplomacy that led to the 2015 agreement in which Iran promised Western powers, Russia and China to scale back its nuclear program drastically in return for sanctions relief. In May, US President Donald Trump withdrew from the agreement, which he has slammed as “the worst deal ever negotiated”. Trump later signed an executive order officially reinstating US sanctions against Iran. Additional US...
